Rick Kosick: So what’s been going on since the Bad Grandpa movie?
Jackson Nicoll: I’ve got two things coming out. The Book of Henry, which I play a bully, and I'm in Still the King in a flashback scene. I’m the young Billy Ray Cyrus. I’m in about 15 seconds of each episode.
Did you get to hangout with Billy Ray Cyrus on set?
Nope, not yet.
So how old are you now?
I’m twelve.
And how old were you when you filmed Bad Grandpa?
I was nine.
Did you get recognized after the movie came out?
Ah, yes, a lot.
How did that feel, did you like it?
I did not like it.
What did the kids at school think?
I’m normal. They didn’t think anything different and they all saw it.
So I guess that means you’re famous now?
Yep, definitely, and it feels awesome.
Do you get treated like a king everywhere you go?
Not entirely.
Why are you looking at your mom like that?
Because today she didn’t get me a Lambo for our rental car.
Behind the scenes on Bad Grandpa with Jackson Nicoll and Rick Kosick (2013).
Do you miss being on set and giving Jeff Tremaine a hard time?
The hard part for him, yes, and I do miss him.
What about Knoxville, you can’t let him off the hook?
I don’t know… he’s still a little jackass to me.
Who do you think would in an arm wrestling event between Knoxville and Tremaine?
I don’t know…
Jeff has a trainer now a days and he’s getting stronger and Knoxville pretty strong.
Jeff.
Why do you like eating at Hooters so much, is it because of the tasty chicken fingers and special dipping sauce?
Ah, the boobs and the food.
Do you have a girlfriend yet?
Nope.
But you like the Hooters girls?
Uh-huh.
How’s fishing been going lately, have you caught anything larger then you?
I caught a 500-pound tuna.
How can you catch a 500-pound tuna?! You’re only so big.
I didn’t catch it by myself. My uncle and his girlfriend helped, too.
How long did it take to reel in?
About 45 minutes.
That’s a lot of work. I bet you guys were tired after that.
Uh-huh. We also caught a shark about my size.
So how is it being a kid working in the adult world, do you find it hard at times?
Yes, I do. Traveling gets too hard and your butt hurts after a while.
I think everyone has that problem, but you’re still lucky because everywhere you sit can be considered first class. Do you feel like you are growing up fast?
Age-wise, yes, but height-wise, no.
How tall are you now?
Four foot six.
So you're pretty much the same height, but your voice is a lot more mature.
Yes it is.
What was one of your favorite moments during the filming of Bad Grandpa?
The beauty pageant stripper scene and the poop part.
When Knoxville pooped on the wall?
Yep!
What did you find funny about the stripper scene, blowing everyone’s mind?
Yep. And I still would have won.
So can you still do the Lindsey Dill dance?
Nope, I forgot it.
What about the pageant dance, did you forget that, too?
I forgot it all.
